This final track on the EP represents the feelings associated with infatuation. There are four distinct movements: awe, longing, anguish, and love. Due to their core similarities, the melodies used in longing and love are incredibly similar, but evoke completely different emotions. It ends on a cautiously optimistic note, which I think is the best way to close out this EP. Even with all these bizarre emotions coursing through our heads, in the end, it’s okay. My favorite analogy describes emotions as waves. They come in so many shapes and intensities, they’re hard to predict, and some stay longer than others. But, in the end, they’re all temporary and they all shape us into who we are now.
